On Divide Road at Aspen Skiing Company’s existing maintenance facility, an industrial site already approved for a larger warehouse. Not open space. Undesirable land already used for operations.

Full-time, year-round Snowmass operations employees. The snowmakers, lift mechanics, groomers, and emergency responders who keep the mountain running. 

…Scale

30 employer-funded homes on land the company already owns, built specifically for the workforce Snowmass depends on.

…Time

Snowmass is short 383 housing units. This project won’t solve the entire crisis, but it’s a real step forward.

Wait… why would anyone say no to this?

Good question. The Snowmass Town Council actually is at “yes” by a 3-2 vote count. But due to code requirements, this project needs a supermajority (four out of five votes) to move forward. We are one vote short. 

Public support can tip that balance. Across three different votes, the Snowmass public has made clear it wants to see more workforce housing. Town Council needs to hear that support again, this time directly from the citizens’ mouths.
